Hi, I just acquired a D1232, so I'm working on installing it at work.

It doesn't have the internal 8 CO card, just the external 4CO module. I'm not sure if it did have the internal card or not, thats how it came to me.

Will this system work without the internal 8CO card and just the external 4CO module, or must it have the internal 8CO card?

Right now for some reason when I connect a CO line to the 4CO module it holds the line off-hook.

Thanks

Andy

Is this the td1232 (digital phones i.e 72xx-74xx telephones) if so it will work, you will have to tell the system what slot the co card is on

Thanks for that.

It now recognises the 4CO module.

However: A strange thing seems to be happening - with the COs unselected, they are being held off-hook by the module; but select a line and the module drops it!

I'm using COs derived from a cable modem and a Sipura ATA. So I'm seeing the 'on hook/off hook' LEDs on the modems to see this.

I'm reasonably confident that the modems are emulating a true CO line, as they work into another PBX quite happily.

When I got the D1232 it had an ISDN PRI module in, I've replaced that with the 4CO module. Have ordered an internal 8CO card too but its not yet arrived.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Andy

If it is a new install I would default the system to clear any old programming. The co lines are connected to the dk plugs on line 1 pin 1&2 line 2 on 3&4 or lines 9. & 10 in case of the module. Not centre and outer as some systems
It should not hold the line open unless the module is faulty. I have some 8 co cards you are stuck.

OK Ken, thanks for that. It does appear then that the 4CO module is faulty, programming seems to be fine.

Where are you located?

Andy

Oh!V close then!

How much for an 8CO card, and do you have any 4CO modules?

thanks

perhaps you'd give me a call 086 242 7311
