Hi
We are install 1200 series phone on a BCM 450 but we are unable to get them to work.

We have 2 Vlan on our network Vlan 1 Data and Vlan 3 Voice. I know with the 1100 series phone you can tell the phone what vlan is voice and what vlan is data I made a test with a 1140E phone and it work fine.

My problem is i can not tell the 1200 series phone where to look for the voice vlan like 1100 series can. I went through the 1230 phone config any i did not see anywhere that i can set the vlan information like the 1100 series can.

So my question do any one know the Windows DHCP options that i need to put in the Dhcp server for the phone to boot in the right vlan.

Thanks for your help

Option 191 is the VLAN identifier. The sytnax would be VLAN-A:10., if VLAN 10 is your voice VLAN. Make sure you end the string with a period. The 1200 series phones have a slightly different menu than the 1100s, but the 802.1q option is still there. See if there is a softkey labelled 'config'. If so, press that, then select 'all man' to be able to manually configure all options in the phone.

Thank you that work like a dream..... Once I put the option in the DHCP all my phones came up.
