Here is the question. I have a client with 13 sites all different release of CM S8300/G700/G350 some SI's etc. They are all IP trunked with DCS back to the main site we will call location A. We are proposing doing a main S8700 while converting all remotes to LSP's.

Can I use digital phones off the LSP's? I assume the local G700 is used for DSP resources and thats it.. Also - what is the benefit going to LSP's versus the way they are other than centralized admininstation....
Can the resources be shared within a S8300/G700 and the main S8700, ie voip resources and CLAN resources?

They currently have an MPLS network between all the sites and we are looking at what we can do that is better.

There are several benefits to running an LSP. We have several LSP's and 2 ESS's. Agents at the remote location can login to the same skills as agents at "location A" and inbound calls can be terminated in 1 spot rather than multiple locations. That is the biggest benefit for us. It simplifies many aspects. Plus with LSP functionality, we can terminate trunks into the LSP itself for local dialtone, as well as Business continuity if the WAN between Main server and LSP is lost.

Digital phones can run off of the LSP. Centralized admin is also a plus. Basically it is just an extension of your main system (unless you lose WAN and go into LSP mode. Then it is a stand alone system with similar functionality)

And I would predict you save a considerable amount in maintenance, but let them show you what it will be.

A few issues we ran into:

Loudspeaker paging using an AUX port - 9 zones/system.
AAR - 1 table/syatem (resolved in CM 5.0).
Telecommuting/Remote Coverage - uses the ARS-All table.

Wouldn't you still need the Call Center Elite agents on the main site as well as on the LSP? This would cost a lot more, no?
