Hello,,,
I have 10 LIMs system (BC11) and will be upgraded to TSW(BC13) and will add two more lims.
I used to upgrade system up to 10 LIMs but this is the first time to have 12 LIM system.
Which LIm dispossition table should I use? Should I use the Xlim dispossition table?.
But I never used the Xlim dispossition before?? Is there any advice on this?

If you already have the new LIMs and want to add them before you upgrade, then use the add-a-lim (Xlim)file for your current release. If the LIMs are to be installed at a remote site, add them to the system in your main switchroom, directly connected to the group switch. You can connect them both at the same time, but you have to add each LIM separately. (Connect to GS, edit xlim file for correct equ and lim number, transmit file, after lim starts, dump system, after successful dump reload new lim and dump system again - repeat for 2nd LIM).

If you have both LIMs but don't want to go thru the add-a-lim process, have E/// build them into your new release and connect them to the GS just before you upgrade.

Or, you can wait and add them after the upgrade using the xlim file for your new release....you'll need to be sure you have license capacity after you upgrade.

good luck....I'd go for the first option if it were me and I had the choice,

I got that if I need to set up a system of more than11 then I have to add the lims >11 by using the Xlim disposition table.
So if I have 20 lim system, I first install the 11 LIM system, then add the lims 12-20 one by one using the X-lim disposition table, and for sure editting the file for each lim.
So there is no disposition table to be sent for more than 11 lim.
Pls confirm.

As far as I know, the only way to add multiple LIMs at the same time is to have them built into a new INL load, such as I suggested with your upgrade.

You *might* be able to transmit multiple versions of the xlim file (edited for each new lim) and then send SFLII for multiple lims.....but you're still limited to no more than 5 with that command. Personally, I don't think I'd try it.....I'd rather deal with one at a time and minimize the potential for weird problems. Heck, you're only talking about adding 2 -- you can still get it done in one (slightly long) day......depends on whether you're salary or hourly ;-)

Good luck,
