Background:
existing system type: 11c/SSC (TDM ONLY)
existing software: Rls4.0

new system type: CS1000E/ CPMG (with MG)
new software: Rls7.50
3su's installed on Linuxbased server
--------------------------------------------------
I was copied the CF card data onto a USB as ARCH_DB\cs1000su, by following methods:
• LD 43 EDD
• LD 143 archive database option
• LD 43 BKO

The upgrade steps refer to NTP "NN43001-509" chapter8 (page51-68 of 106).
But when I deploy the Linuxbased server with CS1000 system in the option "select customer database from deploy server", USB > ARCH_DB, an error message shown "NOT A VALID DATABASE" , any problem on this upgrades, how can I do?

cs1000sullo,

only use that folder "cs1000su" for your database location on your local machiene, also java needs to run on your client machiene, be aware you will be asked two times upon Rel 7 for your language settings and for your databse location, so you need to answer it twice
regards
Fritz

I was tried, still not work, can't read from folder as "cs1000su" , the NEXT button dim, I can't go to next step.

dont want to scare you, but we had all sorts of dramas with upgrading the DB from r4.0 to r7.0 back in the day.

it turned out to be some type of database corruption with zones and the time - of all things.

I had the same trouble,Unlike 5.5 when you use the deployment manager to install a small system database there is no option to convert the small system database. You will need to copy the config.rec and database.rec files directly into the Linux directory that stores the call server database. This worked for me.

1. 3.0 to 7.0 on a 1000E linux cores via csconsole.
put your old database on a usb stick in cppm or cpmg etc.

2. pdt> cd arch_db/good

3. pdt> ll

Directory of 'goodsam:/var/opt/nortel/cs/fs/usb/arch_db/good':

SIZE DATE TIME NAME

4096 Mar-31-2011 18:21:24 .. <DIR>

1024 Mar-08-2011 09:45:58 direct.rec

4. pdt> copy database.rec config.rec /var/opt/nortel/cs/fs/u/db

5. pdt> reboot -1
