Does the Option 11c mini do IP? Does it have it's on cards like the 11C or do I need to put some sort of gateway ahead of it and break the trunks out.

the mini can be considered as a 5 slot cabinet IPE cabinet
and the only one which has a 48p digital line card.

all else is pretty much the same

I'm sorry I was looking for VoIP applications not IPE.

the ITG trunk and line cards are IPE cards ... so you shd be able to install them in a mini ...(provided the s/w supports it)

That's what I was thinking also but I can not find anything in the Mini's NTP's that supports that. Then if I look at the compatibility chart it does not show the ITG cards going with the Mini.

Description: Meridian ITG 2.0 Pentium 24 Port Card

System Compatibility: 11C; 51C; 61C; 81; 81C

I also have an opt. 11 mini. I attended a Nortel seminar in Knoxville Tn last wed. and asked a Nortel engineer the same question. He said an opt.11 mini running 25.40 software would handle basic voip with an ITG trunk card, but in order to get full functionality with Voip I would have to upgrade to succesion. The Succesion box they were running on site had a media gateway mounted on top of a opt 11 mini cabinet.

Thanks techman at least I have somewhere to start.

that is true not only for mini but for 11c and all other models as well

Thanks for all the input
