Does anyone know the default pword when installing a 1140E telephone? Can't find it anywhere in the docs. Thanks.

Try pressing the softkeys under the display 1-2-3-4 (left to right) right after the phone chimes on power-up and the word "Nortel" shows up in the lower left corner. Not the BIG Nortel with the globe, but the small word Nortel.

May be you mean the password to access set up menu. If so:
color*set or 26567*738

No. I have a customer trying to install one and he says when he powers it up, it asks for an Admin pword? Any idea?
I looked thru docs, but didn't see anything relating to that. Thank you!

yes that's this password. But your customer is trying to enter in set up menu using the 4 key sequence.
