Recently we upgraded from a Meridian, to a CS1000E.
Going pure VOIP we made the change over to 1140E phones.

Since making the change we have had several users complain that outside persons have a hard time hearing them.

Call recording shows that there is a difference in volume.

Has anyone else had this issue with 1140E phones?
Currently we use plantronic headsets. The compalints however are registered if the users use headset, handset, or hands free.

It also is not with every users.

Thanks in advance.

There are 'switch' settings on all Plantronic headsets. In the user guide you will find instructions for these setting. On their web site you will find additional settings. You can even call their 800 number and get help with those settings. We use paper cups and string and just pull harder for better volume around here.

Thanks for the thought DocVic.
However we us a direct connect A10 cable for the headsets here. No black boxes, or "amps" as they used to be called.
There is nothing to adjust on the these.

Makes you miss the days of us using soup cans and wire, that is for sure.
