Hi, trying to convert a nortel 1140e from unistim to SIP it is currently running on unistim 0625C8Q. The following files are in the tftp folder, 1140e.cfg and the firmware im converting to. on boot it looks for system.prv 1140E.prv, 001ECAF1C7FE.prv and 1140e.cfg. I have all of these files except for the 001ECAF1C7FE.prv in the tftp folder also. after It reads all these files ok it says checking for updates and continues to boot but does not change the firmware. I tried to both upgrade the current unistim firmware to latest and convert to SIP also with none of them been a success.

thanks for your reply, it reads all the files OK but does not seem to write the firmware to the phone. the phone just continues to boot after the files are read and register to the bcm 50 without rebooting for sip.cfg the one file it looks for which I do not have is 001ECAF1C7FE.prv, would that make a difference. I am also upgrading to latest unistim instead of SIP but makes no difference
I didn't have any .prv files when I did the upgrade.
I had to use TFTP first before I could use HTTP since the firmware was to on the phones.
They also needed to change the provisioning settings on the phones manually before it worked since it wasn't setup to auto-upgrade from fileserver.
This was a year ago so don't remember exactly what settings needed to be changed.

my problem is it looks for all the .prv files reads them but does not seem to write any firmware to the phone. it looks for a file with a title of my phones MAC address .prv which I do not have. it then continues to connect to the S1 as normal without writing the changes, really want this phone to work
