programmed a MCR on an 1140e phone and the phone did not display the line, and it give a re-order tone when called. reset the phone and the line appeared for about 5 seconds. the TNB shows the MCR. tried adding an active SCR from another set, the line only came on after a reset and then would go away. tried outing and rebuilding new. still no good. any thouhgts?

First thought is phone – firmware or set it self. However, I find it particularly interesting that you got a fast busy when calling MCR.
Was this a working phone you were adding a line to?
What if you register this phone to a different TN – do lines show up ok?
What key are you assigning line to?
What firmware is 1140 on?
Will line ring if phone not registered?
Is your SigServer and PBX patches up to date?
What Rls are you on?
