OK I HAVE AN NORTEL 1140E PHONE THAT WENT BAD WHAT DO I NEED TO DO WHEN I GET A NEW ONE. SO IT WILL KEEP THE SAME EXT PLUS WILL THE OTHER FEATURES FOLLOW WHEN THATS DONE OR WILL THEY HAVE TO BE PROGRAQMMED AGAIN.. THANKS MED
 
Deregister the dn from the old unit

Then initialize the new 1140e set and register it to the old dn

Programming will follow it

ok the old set is broke so what would i have to do. and how do i reg the new one.,thanks ed
 
Go to telephony-sets-active sets

Find the dn then deregister it (capabilities &preferences >ip terminal details)

Then you need to do the color*set deal, point it to the bcm the when it asks for a dn assign it the dn you just deregistered from the bad phone

Normally, when you put the new phone, it will ask for the password and DN you want register (enter broken phone DN)
 
no its the registration password which you have to set
