Good morning,

I recently upgraded the firmware on several Nortel / Avaya 1140e sets with SIP firmware 04.04.37.00
They have been working perfectly for several weeks.
A banner message is now displayed indicting the evaluation period will expire...
It looks like the phones may become unusable when this time frame expires.
What are my options to keep these phones in service?

Thank you.

If you're running those on an IPO, I believe you are limited to 4.04.23. Releases higher than 4.04.23 are intended for CS1K/Aura according to the release notes.

Downgrade them to .23 and that should take care of it.

Thank you for your help.
As suggested, I have downgraded the firmware to 04.04.23.00
However, the licencing info screen doesn't look very promising.
I'll wait and see what it says in 6 days.

If you are not running these on a Nortel/Avaya system, then you need to purchase a license from Avaya to use them.

Ah, that might be what I am missing.
Is it still possible to purchase a license from Avaya?
Any idea of the cost?
