I'm wondering if someone has gone thru this problem with the latest release of 1120E. It seems that the firmware is for CS1000 or maybe SIP firmware.
When the phone boots up instead of asking for the color*set, it ask for a userid and password.None of the usual config are the same(there's no S1-S2 adresss etc..).
The firmware says "06A4C39D14" it's definitely not bcm firmware. Does someone know how to force firmware in it? (usually it would download from the bcm but it does not even try...!)
Someone can help?

gwebster, would you know how i can force bcm firmware in it?
i have about 10 phones that have been shipped with that SIP firmware.

Thanks,

You will need a TFTP server. Create a "1140eSIP.cfg" file on that server with the following information:
[FW]
DOWNLOAD_MODE FORCED
VERSION 1000
FIRMWARE yyy.bin

where yyy.bin is the UNISTIM firwmare file that you want to convert it to.
Then change the SIP phone to point to this TFTP server and reboot it.

The user ID and password it is asking for is the default set based admin user id and the password

Just an update, i was ready to force firmware download in the 1120E phones but our purchaser found out that these 1120E(SIP) were in fact $70.00 more expensive then the one with the UNISTIM firmware.
He's ordering the right ones now..
