I heard that the 1110 is BCM50-only - does this apply to the rest of the 1100-series? Can find any docs on that.

The 1120e and 1140e are compatible on the BCM 50/200/400. I am not sure of the BCM 1000. The 1100 series expansion module is only compatible with the BCM 50 release 3. All documents are on the Nortel site.

Ok, problem is that thos phones keep saying that the server is unreachable.

BCM 4.0 is just an out of the box unit, Rls 4.

Cold reset has been done already. (No chance of Level 1 reset with a 400, is there?)

Tested a softphone as well - no luck.

Did a direct test - IP phone directly into LAN port on BCM still the same. So nothing in between would be interfering.

Any suggestions here?

Thanks.

How is your BCM set?

Is it set for DHCP?

If not, are you manually configuring the handset?

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

DHCP is set to Enable - IP phones only.

Tried static IPs as well, still not happening.

Are the IP Client keycodes installed?

Have you ticked Enable Registration on IP Terminal Global Settings field?

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

Check that you have entered the correct Netmask
and gateway IP addresses.

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

Registration is Enabled and NEtmask and Gateway IPs are correct as well.

Do you have anything in the VLAN identifier area on either the phone or in EM

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Hm, BCM was powered down over the weekend and after restarting and connecting up the phones again, everything is fine.

Hm, I did some restarts last week and they never helped ... weird ...

I had exactly the same problem at a Danish site with a new BCM400 Rls 4.0.
It also was powered down for the weekend and on power up all IP phones worked fine.
I however didn't dare to use it at the customer site.
It wen't back to Nortel as a DOA.
