1. Installed Queryman and TeraData ODBC Driver.
2. Defined a Data Source. Entered a Data Source name and description. For the TeraData Server Info I entered an IP address. I left the box checked for "Do not resolve alias name".
The database is in Maryland and I'm in North Carolina.
I am behind a firewall at work. I also tested at home were I'm using a wireless router and Zone Alarm.
In both cases when trying to connect I get the same error.
11001 WSA E Host_not_found: Your name server is down or you need to add to add the TeraData system to your HOSTS file.
My support in Maryland says it's probably the firewall.
Can anyone help.
thanks,
blues
