Anyone know if this works?
Not asking if its 'supported'

Not running an App Server, but my in house system is running 11.1 connected to a 11.0 vmpro running on windows 10. No issues yet that I have found and we've been that way since November (wanted to connect the J159 phones)

I did it the other way around and everything was fine. Updated my App Server to R11.1 SP1 and a few days later updated the IPO.

Our office is running 11.1 IPO and a windows 11.0 VM pro. It has issues with dial by name from what I understand. I don't manage our office production system... So that is second hand knowledge.

Good luck getting issues raised to Avaya if you do this! Oferring this as a solution to a customer owuld be very silly.

It should work, but as others said I wouldn't leave it that way if you ever want Avaya support. I haven't done anything with 11.1 yet. I haven't been too impressed with the issues I read about.

On a side note. I have an R11.1 app server in my house on a bare metal box. It seems to stop working at least once a month. I have to do a hard reset to get it back up.

Hi all, thanks for the feedback. I can confirm it is all working with no issues what so ever. I will point out I am ONLY using VMPro. One-X and Recording is disabled.
FYI Its only a short term design before migrating everything to a server edition and keeping the 11.1 chassis as ISDN gateways.
