Hello all,
Just did an install for a courthouse & they have a Sheriff/911 department.
On the 911 equipment they need two analog extensions that they do recorded incoming/outgoing calls.
Most of the time on incoming calls they will either need to conference to another outside number and/or transfer to an outside number.
Currently I'm having them do the conference *47 code, but when they hang-up all callers get disconnected.
So for an external transfer I have them transfer to a digital phone from the 911 equipment, then the transfer softkey to the other outside number.
Then they can hang-up after all party's are connected & the two outside stay connected.
The existing equipment was a Mitel & previously they could just do hookflash, dial second party, hookflash & either stay on the line or hang-up & the outside party's would stay connected.
Is there a transfer short code they can use for the analog Exts?
If not any ideas that would make it easier for them?
Currently they are using a T-1 for trunks, eventually going to a PRI.
Thanks to all replies
