hi,
Beside question in subject space, What is the sequence of pins in a cat5 cable. Does wire color have predefined numbering. And from where to start numbring pins.
I would be greatful for a detailed answer from you gurus.

Thanks in advance
bye

10baseT uses unshielded twisted pair wiring, it needs two pair, although often 4 pair are wired in

there is no 10baseTX the TX is 100BaseTX to contrast it with 100baseT4 (TX uses 2 pair of Cat5, T4 uses 4 pair of Cat3)

10base2 is a thin coax cable similar to TV coax

10base5 is a much thicker coax cable, like a large extension cord I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

for the cabling pinouts, try this website for starters.
It's an excellent reference and training tool.
In addition, I've done searches through Google to find info, and the quantity and quality of available info on any subject is mind boggling! Especially for this kind of thing!

Cheers,
grimmer
