I sent out a tech to a site where the customer wanted some changes to their CCR Tree.... While there the Tech was notified that the customer's head office wanted all of their extensions changed to the 100 series...so... the DN's on the system changed to the 100 series... but when they went to change them on the Call Pilot they could not. (The CP was Wiped out and reinitialised)
ANYONE KNOW WHY???
-I checked and Reception (General Delivery) was OK at 100
-102 (system Co-ordinator) was not to be used (also OK)
-and all the other extensions where 110-150 range and could not add these mailboxes
ANYONE KNOW WHY???
-Call Park on the MICS 6.1 was changed from 1 to 6 (No Luck)
-No Destination Codes are programmed
-and 1 is not used as D-Dial or a pool code
****Basic system set-up nothing fancy, except the 100's****
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANKS

I hope someone has an answer for this. We just had a customer who numbered their CICS system to start with 100, but the CallPilot would not let them create mailboxes between 110-119. Our office system is a CICS R6.1 with a NAM R4.1 numbered to start with 100 and I have no trouble adding any mailboxes. What gives with the CallPilot?

I wonder if it isn't a conflict with the call center option even if not selected. I hear that CC isn't an option on 2.0. so perhaps the issue may disapear. ??

EX and tech What kind of call pilots are they?

Call pilot 100 w/ 10 mailbox seat
Call pilot 100 w/ 20 mailbox seat
Call pilot 150 W/ 32 mailbox seat

etc.
Maybe you just don't have enough mailboxes in the voicemail.

Let me know?

Maybe it saves those slots for future mailbox purchases.

OK My CP100 in 2DN config will accept MBox series 13 and higher. If it accept 2dn numbering in the 1x series why not the 1xx series? ... try removing from use the CC codes which are loaded and ready for use even if CC isn't chosen. Use XFTEST to remove F904 etc.

PhM

I Tried t with:
MICS 4.1, 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1 w/ CP100 & CP 150
CICS 4.2, 6.0, 6.1 w/ CP100 & CP 150
Group List = 8
Pool code = 9
Park = 6
D-Dial = 0
No Destination Codes
It would allow 100 + 102 but no others but I'll Try Arr's Theory "removing from use the CC codes which are loaded and ready for use even if CC isn't chosen. Use XFTEST to remove F904 etc." because if they can get it working with 13 ( 2 Digit) why not 3 digit (111, 112 ...120...130..etc..)
Thanks for you help. I'll go and do some more testing.

I tried it and it works on a 2 digit but not a 3 digit... maybe I'm still missing something.
any sugestions
Thanks

It has something to do with the NAME & SPECIAL PREFIX digits in System Properties of the Call Pilot. They use 11 & 19 by default if you change them to something else then you can use 1xx. But before you change them you need to look at what it might effect I have not gone that far yet.

Hawks,
Have you got a different heading for the NAME & SPECIAL PREFIX? It doesn't seem to be in the manual under that title.

PhM

Go into the Call Pilot:
1) Manager Main Menu then go into
2) System Properties then scroll down and you should see
NAME PREFIX: 11
SPECIAL PREFIX: 19

Thanks Guys,
I also spoke to an engineer, and he said the same about:
"Go into the Call Pilot:
1) Manager Main Menu then go into
2) System Properties then scroll down and you should see
NAME PREFIX: 11
SPECIAL PREFIX: 19"
I'll Try it in the AM
I'll Tell You the out come.
Thanks again ... I just shows that more brains are better than one.

It was the NAME & SPECIAL PREFIX, but how do you change them, I changed them and it still would not let me use them.... then I went back in to doubble check and they had returned to the Default 11 & 19... This would not allow me to have any mailboxes in the 111-119 and 190-199 ranges... I changed them again but fter you save them it returned to the Default...." SO HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CHANGE STICK????"

Are you changing them to numbers that do not conflict with any other numbering plan in the switch?

Yes,
Group List = 8
Pool code = 9
Park = 6
D-Dial = 0
No Destination Codes
NAME & SPECIAL PREFIX = 70 & 71
Ext 100 (recpt) 111-131, 211-222, 311-350 (regular sets)
not all ext. are being used but are reserved for growth.

I think the 7x are defaulted for Hunt Groups

I thought about that after I posted last and changed it to 40&41 and it still allowed me to do the change but defaulted back to 11 & 19 ... It hadn't saved the 70 & 71 so there was no real conflict.

I think 40 & 41 are B2 numbers of the extensions so you can not use them. Try 5x or just see if you can delete them all together. Good luck

so has this been resolved? is the NAME & SPECIAL PREFIX that has to be changed. I have a customer who has to have extension & mailboxes 104-110.
