Hi, when I visit the web site my computer starts using 100% of the cpu. I have the task manager minimized to the system tray and as soon as the page loads, it shows that my cpu load jumps from about 10% to 100%. I have tried both IE and firefox with the same results. I also have the flash plugins correctly installed for both. Does anyone have any ideas?

My PC Specs:
XP Home with service pack 1
1 gig ram
2000+ AMD
Gigabyte K7 Triton motherboard
2 40 gig hard drives.

Cheers.

My suggestion:

Run Ad-Aware, SpyBot Search and Destroy, run a good Anti-Virus progie, first...

Clean your Temp and Internet Tempfiles..

then Download NTREGOPT, run it...

and then install SP2...

I don't think it has anything to do with your pc. I just went to that same website and my pc did the same thing. There's just alot going on at that website.

@sixstrings4 - I went to that site aswell, and did not experience the probs you guys report!!!

@badbigben- Did you stay until after the intro loaded? I'm now on a different pc at work and get the same result.

Email the site webmasters and tell them to fix their app

It kills my 1.7GHz too

It doesn't look THAT graphics intensive, although the effects are pretty cool compared to your average website.

Sixstrings4 - no the first time I visited the Website, I skipped the Intro as I usually do, as intros are just that intros... but I stayed this time and experienced not quite the probs, the usuage was at 76% (FireFox) but noticed no slowdowns whatsoever... btw. I use a CeleronA 2.8ghz, Asus P4PE-x mainboard, with a FX5600XT Gfx card, and 512mb RAM... I guess all these play a role in the equation...

With two (2!) Macromedia Flash images and a Flash menu system running at once on the home page, it is somewhat wasteful of resources, but once you leave the home page it gets quite reasonable. Perhaps they figure that if your machine can run their hone page without crashing, you can probably enjoy the rest of the content.

Just don't try to do anything else.
