100% busy disks

when I execute the topas command, hdisk2 which is a RAID parity of 4 disks are 100% busy. the lotus notes database is in this hdisk2, what i want to know is if i can determine what makes these disks busy, what files are open... lsof only?

HI,

To start with I would use "filemon" to establish the buisy filesystems/LVs/files.
Secondly ,If this phenomena lasts for while,I would try decreasing the queue_depth of the RAID disk.

An easy way to know wich LV is busy:

lspv hdisk2
VOLUME GROUP: > $VG

lvmstat -d -v $VG
lvmstat -e -v $VG

lvmstat -l $VG
