Our major carrier just introduced 10 digit local dialing over the weekend.

Now it seems like my IP sets at our remote sites can't dial the 10 digits. They get busies when they enter the 8th digit.

The remote site is a branch office at RLS 6 with IP and digital sets. The digital sets work fine.

The IP sets register back to the main site also at RLS 6.

From an IP set located at the main site, I can dial 10 digits successfully.

Did a print in LD 90
The remote site shows area code 705 as below:
NPA 705
RLI 14
DENY 976

SDRR DENY CODES = 1
ITEI NONE

The main site shows area code 705 as below:

NPA 705
RLI 3
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Is it possible the FRL problem? What is the NCOS for remote IP sets?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if the IP sets are registered to the main site then the routs at the remote site should not matter? Can you dial the number if you use 1 plus?

This issue has expanded to now include one of our remote sites that does not have IP sets. They have a CS1000E at Rls 6 but they are strictly TDM.

It appears now that it may be a problem with the routing from the remote sites to the main site. The remote sites are dependant upon the main site for the outbound calls but I'm thinking the remotes sites are missing something that would allow them the 10 digit dialing.

My vendor is going to charge me for opening up the ESN for each of the sites in order to resolve this.

go to ld 117 in the BO and print out the zbr and post it

Is it zbr or something else? I did a PRT ZBR in LD 117 but ZBR isn't valid.

Sorry, thinking of something else, prt zdp and zacb in 117

OK Thanks. Here is my print from the remote site.

This is rather cryptic.

does it mean anything?

I took a look at this thread I found since it seemed to be the same issue I had.

The sets NCOS at this site are 4.

Users are dialing 8705790 then they get a fast busy before dialing the last 4 digits. Our AC1 is 8 rather than 9.

In LD 90 you probably detail 1705 as an NPA entry, but not 705. Add 705 with the same options as they would have normally dialed the 7 digit number.

My DMI 3 is:

REQ prt
CUST 0
FEAT dgt
DMI 3

DMI 3
DEL 0
ISPN NO
INST 705
CTYP NPA

I looked in LD 90 and I do have 1705 as an entry, but some exchanges within the 705 area code are long distance and some are not.

if they are LD the 1705 will dial them, if they are local the 705 will dial them, this would be determined in the telco C.O.

Or you could force allow and disallow various NPA's within the PBX if you wanted to.
