I have an operator on a new Magix system that has the dial 0 ring to her extension 221. 221 will be her personal extension. If she doesn't answer the phone I need to figure out how to route the call to 9991 or another vmail box that can light her 4424ld+ message lamp. Any ideas?

Just make her extension the "owner" of 9991 in the voice mail system. Make the dial 0/time out action to be "leave a message" in the general mailbox (9991).

But she is the operator and needs to answer the phone if at all possible.

Are all calls first routed to her, and then the AA? or do all calls first hit the AA, and then get routed to her only when a caller fails to make a choice or chooses operator? I guess you could use her "adjunct" extension# as a place to route calls and set up a voicemail box for the adjunct instead of using 9991. You could specify (depending on version of voice mail) that the adjunct has no phone - so all calls routed there would go right to the adjunct's voicemail box.

Yes it goes to the AA first then the 0 calls go to her ext. the office needs to be able to check messages when she is gone and they don't want to get in to her personal mailbox. So how can I have her run the main console with her ext number tied to it and still have calls that 0 out to her roll into a general mailbox that all office personel could check. Maybe it would be best to set the console up as 220 and have it cover 221 (her ext) but is there anyway to then make those 2 ext's light the message lamp?

Well, if you use her existing adjunct ext# as your "general mail box" and dial 0/time out extension - that will work. If a message is left in the adjunct mail box, her message lamp should light. Put a cover button for the adjunct on her phone - so if the adjunct "rings" when she is around - she can answer the call. When she is not around - it will go into the adjunct's mailbox - which you can use as a quasi "general mailbox". The mailbox number will be whatever her adjunct extension number is.

How can I tag the Adjunct(7300) to light that message lamp for the ext 221? It does not do it automatically.

I believe you can set in system programming for 221 to be a message receiver for 7300.

I beleive that message receivers are only for calling groups.

If you have Merlin Messaging, you could make mailbox for the adjunct deposit the actual incoming message in 9991 via the "phantom" mailbox feature, then 9991's owner could be the console (221) for the MW light.
