Here is the situation:
Have one attendant console DN 0
All calls (7 trunks) come in to this attendant.
This person may be assisting a client for a few minutes and is not able to answer another incoming call. I want that incomeing call to go to a message prompt after x time or x rings that explains that the operator is busy.

Time of day controller is already setup.
TODC = 7009
Holiday controller ID = 7006
After 5 Con ID = 7007
Working Hours ID = 7008

If I understand correctly this is the proper steps:
1) Call comes in
2) 7000 is the hunt group
3) Forwards to DN 0 (Attendant)
4) call sent to DN#### due to overflow
5) Call sent to Prime Voice messaging Queue
6) Call sent to VSDN Table (Voice services DN 0)
7) VSDN Table DN=0 Sevice=TODC ID 7009
8) TODC 7009 Business Service ID = 7008(Voice Menu)

The problem is that I think the TODC is only activated when the operator presses a certain key on the Attendant console. What do I need to do, and what information would you guys/gals need to help me. I am a computer person not a phone person. LOL

Need serious help!!!!!! [dazed]

hi
7000 is yuor main nummer (ldn) so use aodn to go to mail, with aodn you have aqtt that is time before calls goes to aodn nummer,so when attendt is busy after qatt calls go to mail.

pappy,
Do you also have a VSDN entry for DN=7000 Service=TOD 7009?

I am going to try and out line all the information that I know about this system:
>ld 21
req: prt
type: att
type att_data
cust 0
opt AHD BIND BIXA BLA DNX IC1 ITG IDP XLF XBL FKA MWUD LOD REA SYA ATDA

That is the information for the attendant console.
The following is for the Voice Services DN Table:
DN Service Comment
0 TD 7009 Time of Day
7000 VM Voice Messaging
7002 EM Express Message
7003 PM Prompt Maint.

Next is Time of day controller defs:
TODC ID Business Off Hours Holiday Ser
Services ID ID ID
7009 7008 7007 7006

Now this is the run down for the follwing DNs:

DN 7000
Type MCDN
MCID 7830
MCID 7832
MCID 7834
MCID 7831
MCID 7833
MCID 7835

DN 7008
Type ACDN

If you need more info let me know. If you can chat on AIM let me know. All information is greatly appreciated. I am at your mercy. (laughing hysterically from madness)

If you have a MIRAN or a Cookannouncer you can solve this problem by setting the ROA_data in your CDB. There you can set A RAN route to play an announcement if the attendant is busy. After a while you even can play a second message with a message that the attendant is still busy.

Regards,
Jacco.
