I have a problem with an 0x32 / CP100. all lines are answered by AA, intermittently the dtmf input receives a "you have entered an invalid ext".
I have put a digit grabber on the lines and I can see the correct digits coming in, although sometimes the digits are duplicated (a 233 entry may come through as 2233 or 23333) put I've seen the "you have entered an invalid ext" error even with the correct 233 comes through.
The site just changed from at&t lines to brighthouse (cable co) and that's when the problem started. so I really bielive it is a brighthouse issue.
HOWEVER, I am concerned that the correct digits are being read by my digit grabber and the error still occurs.
does anyone know how the dtmf tones are used by the norstar and cp100? is it only the CLID(s) that deal with the dtmf tones or do the trunk cards pass the tones along to the CP100 AA? I have replaced the CLID(s) already and the issue is still occuring.

thanks...

On your digit grabber what is the duration of the dtmf tones should be 80 ms a standard.
I know that on the older system there was a maintenance program that you could adjust in the voice mail the length of time to wait for dtmf to prevent talk off some people voice would emitate those frequency used in dtmf.
Once the call is connected there should not be a provider problem unless the provider is converting the dtmf signal from analog to digital and back.

Try changing the setting on the truck (long CO)it may be a level problem the system not be hearing the tones

thanks ironhorse17
my digit grabber just shows digits, that's all.
and yes, the dial tone is provided by the cable company, I assume it is voip, it's converted back to analog at the customers site.

thanks Hugh, I'll check the options in programming.

What version cp do you have? There was a known issue with versions below 3.1. If it is 3.0 or lower upgrade the software, Problem should be fixed.
