Hi guys,

Who knows what does that mean: 0042-124 c_ch_nfsexp: NFS option sec=sys is NOT supported ?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I have check everything on my nim master and everything looks fine, and also when I want to install a new nim client I have evertyhing correctly exported ...
I don;t know what this could mean???
I really search on web I didn't find anything, so if soemone know how to fix it... Because this message annoy me a lot :)

Thanks in adavance.
Cheers
Al.

I think i had this same problem long time ago and i think when i rebooted the NIM master and the client (planned downtime for the whole computer room) it disappeared!

I know not a good solution! Try to remove the client from NIM and configure it again first!

Regards,
Khalid

You could try cleaning up your what your NIM master thinks is exported:

mv /etc/exports to a backup file.
run: stopsrc -s nimesis
stopsrc -s nfsd
rm -rf /etc/xtab
rm -rf /etc/rmtab
rm -rf /var/statmon/sm
rm -rf /var/statmon/sm.bak
startsrc -s nfsd
startsrc -s nimesis
mv /etc/exports backup file back to /etc/exports
run exportfs -a

Hi,
thanks for the replies.

I have done a reboot few days ago... and this did not solve the problem.

I would probably do what propose bi but I have to think about it first as the nim server is used also as a repository server and it is used...so I will see.

But thank you for your help
cheers
Al.
