One of our trading partners is requiring us to be version 004030 UCS compliant. Is there any way to view the standards without paying? I called the UCC council, and it is at least $150 just to view the standards online.

Thanks for any help!

Current versions of all of the X12 standards cost money. You can purchase generic standards from DISA ( or purchase one of the tools which contain all of the standards plus the major industry guidelines and provide you the capability to create/modify implementation guides, test data, XML, and a few other capabilities. The companies that sell these tools and even have working eval copies are:

GEFEG USA - Foresight - (The tool is EDISIM)
EDIFECS - (The tool is SpecBuilder)

I use all of these tools. My preference is the Gefeg tool and then the Foresight tool. They are well worth the investment and much cheaper than the individual standards.
