Hello,

I'm currently contracting as IT support for a company who still has a Nortel BCM with Reporting for call centre in place.

I'm fresh to this environment and have little to no experience with Nortel systems. The main systems engineer is on leave and I've run into an issue with the reporting system.

When trying to run summary reports, the calendar only goes up to the end of 2015.
I'm trying to find a way to annually rollover the calendar.

Does anyone have any ideas if this can be done in the GUI or somewhere in the database config?

I can't find much info on the net.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Cheers!

That is a good un!. It looks as if your BCM is an old one. Do you know the release version please?. My guess is that it is the old Windows NT version probably at 2.x or 3.x etc.

You might need to check your system patches in case there were some updates that had been released that might overcome the year problem.

If you system is the older one, then the only way would have been to upgrade it to a BCM 400 at 4.0 (Linux), but even this is out of support and I don't think it is possible to get the upgrade keycode anymore or to upgrade it to a BCM 450 and i'm sorry to say that this model has just reached end of support last October (I think!).

Hi David,

It's release 3.7 and the build is 2.4f.

Are the patches applied directly to the BCM?

thanks!

Update: got the issue completely sorted! Worked with web developer and had him edit the ASP file for the calendar (the BCM was still reporting, just the web interface wasn't configured for past 2015).

The original config:

</select>
<%
i=2003
yearStop = i+12
%>

<select name="sToYear">

Modified to suit past 2015:

</select>
<%
Dim yearStop
i=Year(now())
yearStop = i-12
%>

<select name="sFromYear">
__________________________________________

As you can see in the original config the i = 2003 + 12 years was upto 2015
We reversed to i = now and -12 so it's now 2016 - 2004

This should fix the issue permanently as it will always pull the current year.

Handy for anyone else who is still unfortunate to be using a Nortel BCM!

Thanks for everyone's help.

That is a really good solution and I've given you a star for replying back with an answer. It's quite surprising that there are still loads of BCM's in use and considering that your version is the old Windows NT, makes you wonder if Nortel ever thought that their kit would still be in use after all this time.

Just make sure that you still have an old computer to access it with (old Java and XP is what I carry around) an don't forget to take regular backups.
