compaq proliant 4000 server Witch linux Os???
hi, good argument's all, I upgraded the compaq machine to 256 Mb running server 2000 and 3 shoutcast stream's, a litle pitty for the storage space (5X 4.3Gb in raid 5 ) 16Gb, (now using almost 3 Gb) now the next problem is this... This machine is to be placed in a data center in amsterdam...- Chaot

hmmm okay, good advice... what would u do? the machine is in real good state... do u think an investment for 256Mbwould be a good idea? thankx again!- Chaot

hi i have an Compaq proliant server, hardware 2 X 200 Mhz Pentium PRO. 64Mb Ram. 5x 4.3 Gb Hdd ScSi 10K rpm. (Raid 5 16Gb) 2 lan adapters. not real impressing, but good enough for a litle webserver. so on with good hope i tried linux fedora core 3... after about 1 minute... Bla BLa not enough...- Chaot
