No, the problem is that they have firewalls on the workstations. Outlook does not like this. Turn off the firewalls on the workstations and use one hardware firewall to protect the entire company.
I would also hold off if business is not doing well at all. But make sure management is not blowing smoke up your behind. If they have the money they should CERTAINLY upgrade to Exchange 2003 **Not Exchange 2000*. The reason being, Exchange 2000 is also nearly *obsolete*. Anyone upgrading 5.5...
Microsoft just released a patch for Exchange 2000. I suspect one of the servers in your route is an Exchange server. Regardless, this is an 8bitmime issue and here is the correct way to fix it in Exchange 2000 if that is where your problem is. You have to fix it in active directory because...
Scott, you get 10 points for best answers on forum. :-)
I had to figure that out a few days ago and yes you are correct.
I also found that I needed to disable mousetimer and keyboardtimer in template.ica. They were making it look to users on the LAN as latency on the network.
I understand...
I think ICA has it's own settings. Look in 'terminal services configuration' on each farm server. You find this in control panel, administrative tools.
Hi,
We are still being plagued by bad latency when using the nfuse/java combination to connect to the server farm. That combination has too much latency. SpeedScreen helps but it is just not very good and some users don't like speedscreen.
If I connect with the local ica client via 'citrix...
Looks like it's is working now. I will continue to look at it today. But it looks like I have it going on a couple live farm servers.
Here is what makes it work.
Modify template.ica on the nfuse web server as so.
[NFuse_IcaWindow]
ZLKeyboardMode=1
ZLMouseMode=1
Make sure to only modify the...
Is it possible that the template.ica file is not being called on the server for some reason? If so, what on the server refers to the template.ica? This speedscreen not working in nfuse problem may drive me to drink. :-)
All good ideas but nothing worked.
Nfuse does not seem to want to engage speedscreen for some reason. Some info I have found on the net indicates to change the template.ica file like so...
[NFuse_IcaWindow]
ZLKeyboardMode=1
ZLMouseMode=1
I did this on the Nfuse server but no help. I am not...
Yes, Speedscreen is enabled in Citrix Management Console for the farm, but is seems that Nfuse is not interested in that setting. :-)
There is an Nfuse.conf file on the Nfuse IIS server.
This document sems to indicate that you can turn on speedscreen in the config file...
Well, I am guessing that speedscreen is not turned on in my Nfuse server. So I have to try to figure that out one way or the other and see if I can then figure out how to enable it if it is off.
>Are using NFuse or WI?
Dumb question but how would I know? I did not install the system so I am not 100% up to speed on it.
The login page looks like this...
http://citrix.mycompany.com/citrix/metaframexp/default/login.asp?ClientDetection=On
If I fail a login I get a link that has nfuse in...
This is a strange issue.
We are using Nfuse to access published desktop via a web page. If I start a published desktop by clicking on the icon in the Nfuse page it is much slower than if I start the ica session via Citrix Program Neighborhood from the workstation ica client software.
On my...
