Opening Office files from server very slow (opportunistic locking?)
One of our clients has a Windows 2003 Server with mainly Win XP clients. They've just been experiencing for the last week or so, very slow opening of Word & Excel files from the server. Outlook Express attachments problem
He did try to attach them as a normal e-mail & it's not due to being located somewhere else. They are on XP SP1 We have established that there is no end boundary, so recipient e-mail client is unable to decode them. We *think * the problem might be because OE is splitting up the large message...- fabfour
