Thanks for the reply dbase, I think I just encountered the main problem. Argus is on private network, it does not have a way to be able to even ping the future smart host. Either way that I go, I have to ask the private companies that we give services to, to open the ports to be able to connect...- flashj12

I have sendmail running on redhat 8.0 I have an argus system that send notifications out to different people. I have those exchange servers running as the corporate e-mail servers on a different network. I need those notifications to be send out to exchange server and delivered to the user, but...- flashj12
