    Thanks Victorv, but I've just come across a fix, Adding : nfso -o nfs_use_reserved_ports=1 to the end of rc.tcpip will force it to use reserved ports again. thanks again

    HI, We have 2 Linux (suse) boxes that NFS & mount to each other with no problems. What's proving more difficult is getting our RS6000 (v4.3.3) boxes to mount the Linux boxes. I tried changing the NFS type from 3 to 2 with no joy. Any ideas?
