    what does that mean? this thread is a follow up to 'why won't my PC boot up?' it is now reading the floppy and saying "OK" and then I get the I/O error message.

    A friend of mine gave me this motherboard. it has an AMD cpu installed. I don't know which one. I assume the HD should be an IDE, as this is not a brand new or even late model motherboard. But, I'm not sure. That's why I'm asking :) Thanks! Bill
