It has been defined and a hotspare established then the reinitialize was completed and I rebooted. It will not mount the raid set so I can do a restore. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I lost three of disks on my raid set and installed three new ones. Configured them and did a reinitialize. I can not mount them because it says the fileset does not contain a valid ADVFS file system. Did I miss a step? How do I rebuild after I reinitialize? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks for the info. I took a look at it but couldn't find anything. This system has been running for years. We are frozen so it has to stay the same. I am really stumped. I thought if it was a software problem rebuilding my disk from an old backup (I went back to 1/06) would fix it. Do...

I am creating a system disk loading Solaris 9. I do not want to put it on the network just yet as it is going to replace a system that is currently on the network. I am running YP (NIS). How do I make it eventually time out and continue to boot all the way up when it can't find the NIS server?
I'm new to Solaris. Do I have to set up the mirror prior to doing the restore? If my restore was done while the system was mirrored will it know that after I have done a complete restore?
