    IE 5.5 proxy setting defaults to 'Use proxy'

    I spent one whole evening trying correct this on ie5. I fixed it by uninstalling the modem and isp account and reinstalling the same- it only takes ten minutes and is better than reinstalling ie or your operating sys. This is with win2k.
