    I check the service and the listener and the instance are running, so I don't think it's because the the database didn't start.(or maybe i m fooled by the NT service). whatelse can I try? thanks Kevin

I installed 8i on win2k server, before restarting the server, the newly created default database works fine(I can connect it throught sql.plus) but not after I reboot the server.     EXP and IMP for ora 8i in netware?

    I don't seem to be able to find the two utilities in oracle 8i under novel 5.1, and i am also running oracle client on win 98 and mapped the oracle install_dir as F, how can I do import/export ? and if I want to do Full= y export, does that mean the TABLESPACE is also exported? thanks in advance.
