I’m not a SQL Server guru, but I’ve inherited a SQL 2008 R2 server that is hosting several small databases for things such as Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint Protection, WSUS, BES, etc… The server did not have any maintenance plans in place. Backup Exec is being used for backups and is only...
quick background - 2 days ago I took over a network and part of that network is an Avaya IP phone system.
Yesterday, all the phones where going straight to voicemail because of a holiday-table schedule that was setup for 2010. I modified the holiday-table dates to reflect 2011 and thus fixed...
OK - please excuse my ignorance as this is the first time I'm dealing with an AVAYA phone system.
I have 2 tools that I'm using to talk to my server: Avaya Site Administration and Intergrated Management web page.
Where do I find the licenses and how do I check the services?

A local profile on a PC was accidently deleted. The user receives email using POP3. Is the mailbox items, contacts, etc....saved under the local profile? If so, when doing a file recovery, what kind of files should I be looking for?
Question - I have an HP ProLiant 380 with 5 hard drives. 3 are 72.8G and the other 2 are 36.4G and they are all Ultra320 SCSI. The server shows two logical drives - C: and D: and C: is RAID 1+0 and D: is RAID 5. The server is out of disk space for D: and I noticed that we have 1 empty slot...
I have a laptop - Gateway E-295C that came with Vista Business. We want to downgrade it to XP, but when doing so, it doesn't recoginize the SATA HD. I've tried the F6 option with drivers on a floppy, but no luck.

OK for some reason this client has to use POP3 because they are sharing an exchange server that is off-site with another company.....not sure what the deal is with that. Anyways.....to fix this, I just unchecked "keep a copy on server" option on users PC's.
Thanks for the help!
We recently migrated from groupwise to exchange 2003. We have a couple users who log in\out on more then 1 PC. After the migration, when the users log into a different PC (different from the PC they normally use) and open e-mail(office 2003), all their emails are duplicated. It's like...
THANK YOU! I'll give it a shot. I'm surprised that citrix doesn't have anything built into that allows you to select what TS server you want to use without having to hack the registry.
Sorry....let me clarify a little. We have one server that has terminal services running on it has nothing to do with the two citrix servers. I just want to move terminal services from the server to one of our domain controllers because we are getting ready to retire the server. I just don't...
Please excuse my limited knowledge of Citrix, but I need to move Terminal Services from one server to another. My concern is what changes I need to make on our Citrix Farm - if any? Our Citrix farm has 2 servers running presentation server 4.0, and one is listed as the License server. I'm not...
How can I obtain and record the size of specific folders such as the cookies, temp, temp internet folders on a Windows XP machine? Is their some kind of counter I can set up? or a script I can run on a daily basis?
Thanks!
I am using webmail - Outlook 2003. In a new email that I'm sending, I'm trying to send one of my contacts as an attachment by "drag and drop". It works when I'm in the office, but when I'm using webmail it won't work, it just puts in html code. Any help appreciated.
Sorry, but neither of those are what I'm looking for. Let me reask the question. If you are in Outlook 2003 and go to Actions -> New Mail Message Using -> Microsoft Office Word 2003 (Rich Text) and then you compose your email, the body of the email will act like Word and underline incorrect...
