After buying out some companies we own a few domain names all listed in active directory and each user therefore has multiple email addresses with one being set as primary, this being the one customers see when they press reply.
Some users would like to be able to switch the email addresses...
Nice one - I have just written 2 vbs scripts to do the same and called them "office" and "everywhere else" otherwise he'd be asking which one to use on the train...

I have a laptop user who swears blind that his "use a proxy server..." checkbox in IE6 keeps ticking or unticking itself. It needs to be ticked while in the office and unticked when out of the office. He says he goes through the steps I showed him, clicks OK (not cancel) twice but when he goes...
We use terminal server 2003 with various clients connecting via the remote desktop client mstsc.exe.
When editing the client connection on windows 98 under the local resources tab the Keyboard section is greyed out meaning ALt+tab can't be used within the remote desktop session.

Has anyone come across a maximum number for folders in a users mailbox. A user has approx 160 folders just under the mailbox folder on the same level as his inbox and he's having one or two odd problems. I'm thinking it may be to do with the sheer number of folders and not the actual size of...

The original template & document are on an NT4 server at one site and are emailed as attachments to users on another site. If a user who does not have an account on the NT4 server tries to open the doc it takes 20-30 seconds. Investigation has...

as an example the autopilot backup started at 11pm last night is still shown as active but the blank tape hasn't even been given a serial number yet and no files have been backed up. I can't stop the job from the console or via...
One of our NT4 workstations is causing problems with filenames saved to our Netware 3.2 server - this seems to be an upper/lowercase problem.
In windows98 you can select to "preserve case" in the netware client properties.
Is there anything similar in NT4 ?
TIA
