XSTIM Packets dropped on UCX 7?

There are no whitelists/blacklists or anything of that sort on the network. I tried creating allow rules on the hypervisor firewall, and just disabling the firewall altogether, but it made no difference. The switch equipment is Netgear with an Untangle router but I have tried other...

XSTIM Packets dropped on UCX 7?

Wondering if anyone has experienced this or similar; seems to be my network/hypervisor so E-MetroTel can't assist further. I have had a UCX version 7 running in my home office environment for a few months, with an assortment of XSTIM/Unistim phones, both on site and remote, digital and IP...

    T7406e, fax, and UCX

In case anyone is wondering, e-Metrotel has issued a patch for the Digital Gateway that resolves the static issue. My T7406e phones now all work flawlessly. Adjusting the FXO gain also resolved the fax problem. Now if they would only update their logo...

    T7406e, fax, and UCX

Hey ucxguy, One of the first things I did was change the phone type to T7406 for the cordless extensions, but when I checked the extensions overview, they are listed as M7310! The extensions are individually set to T7406 - I will see if e-Metrotel support can help. As for the fax, the AGC and...

    T7406e, fax, and UCX

Hello, I recently migrated a Norstar CICS to a UCX50. Almost everything works normally but there are a few nagging issues that I can't seem to figure out. 1. T7406e cordless sets, which worked perfectly fine on the CICS, now have bad static which renders them unusable. 6 sets in total on two...

    BCM 50 2.0 reset question

The default password doesn't work. I don't mind losing all the configuration info, but I'd really like to keep the licenses intact. I have read that level 1 reset does not wipe out keycodes, and elsewhere I have read that it does, so I am not sure. Does anyone here know for certain?

    BCM 50 2.0 reset question

Hello, I am trying to log in to a BCM50 2.0 for which I don't know the nnadmin password. If I do a level 1 reset, will it set this to the default? Will the level 1 reset wipe out the keycodes as well? If it does, is there a way to reset the password using a telset and avoid wiping out...

    Contivity 1100 boot issue

Update: I resolved the problem by removing the add-on card that was included with the router (I did not require it anyway). The system now boots normally!

    Contivity 1100 boot issue

Thanks. I booted back into the recovery mode and was able to load version 4.85 onto the unit. However when I restarted it, I was greeted with the following: Performing Check Disk on [/ide1/] ... Contivity 1100 boot issue

Hello everyone, I purchased a used Contivity 1100 (eBay) that does not successfully boot. It would get to the point just after the disk check and halt there. I booted the unit into recovery mode and was able to access the web-based tools but there did not seem to be a way to recover the...

RPC over HTTP w/ Exchange 2007 on Server 2008

Hello, I am looking at a scenario where I would be upgrading an Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2007. Currently I have RPC over HTTP implemented. Will Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008 standard also support RPC over HTTP? I was looking a feature comparison between 2008 standard and enterprise, and...

SMTP 550 when sending to some domains

It turns out that the e-mail address being used in one case was wrong, so there was no problem internally. As I said, MX records and DNS is fine. I looked into creating an SPF record but I use DynDNS and am not sure how to add that record. Can anyone tell me how?

SMTP 550 when sending to some domains

This problem only started when we switched from iMail to Exchange 2003. There are a few domains that won't accept mail from ours the user gets the following message in an NDR: You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator...

Need to set up a seacret code for external calling?

I think you are going to have to use COS then, but ptstechnician's idea is simpler since with COS you have to enter 9 followed by F68 followed by the 6-digit password which is 10 button presses total versus 2 for changing the access code to 85 or something similar.

    BCM400 4.0 w/ RAID

Actually, I tried to install a RAID kit on a BCM400 4.0 with SU-System.006 and the system would not boot with the kit installed. The same RAID kit worked fine in the system when it was running 3.6 (long story, I had to remove the kit before applying the 4.0 upgrade). Maybe the patch is what's...

Network adapter reset on Exchange server

I have a very weird problem on a server running Exchange 2003 that just cropped up a day ago. I set the server up a couple weeks ago and it had been working fine until then. The server has two network interfaces on two different subnets, 192.168.136.x and 192.168.130.x., each configured with...

Add Icon to All Users Desktop

Might be overkill but try using Desktop Authority by ScriptLogic, it lets you do a million things using automated scripts and validation techniques, such as creating registry entries, shortcuts, mapped drives and printers etc. etc. Really good, easy to use product if you are not a script wizard.

    New (old) e-mail domain trouble

So, I have this Exchange 2003 server up and running and receiving/sending e-mail for domain companyA.com. As I discussed in a previous posting, CompanyA acquired CompanyB along with their Exchange server and their e-mail domain companyB.com. I ended up having to set up the server and Exchange...

    Some migration advice?

Thanks for your suggestions Mark - it turns out that there are actually now fewer than 10 users from CompanyB that will need to be migrated over, plus I have to change their user ID format from firstinitiallastname to firstname.lastname, and all their passwords have to change too. Also, since I...
