I have a Windows 2003 Small Business Server Standard box with exchange updated to SP2. I am trying to get activesync to work. When I run the testexchangeconnectivity.com test it gives me the following error: "Attempting the FolderSync command on the Exchange ActiveSync session. The test of the...
Thanks for the response DansDadUK. I do know of a couple models that will work from HP. Problem is customer will only print a few pages at the most in a day. They are trying to use their existing ink jet printer. And because of current budget reasons, they can't buy a new non-host-based printer...
I am trying to print from a DOS application. I can redirect the LPT port to the share name of the printer just fine. Problem is, the application has built-in drivers that you can select from (HP LaserJet 4L and II for example). So according the software support, I have to use a printer that...
Happy Holidays Everyone,
I am having a Roaming Profile problem with a user. To get strait to the point, files don't seem to update to the server during log off. If you delete a file on your desktop and restart the computer, the file comes back during log on. So it appears to synchronize with the...
I am hoping someone has some experience with creating a large wireless mesh or city-wide wireless. Being that the good commercial Access Points are in the several thousand, we at work are wanting to build our own access point and have Linux on it that we can configure and manage it with. I can...
Hey Everyone,
I am having some issues trying to get sfc to work in windows xp media center edition 2005. The issue is that it will ask right at the end for the XP Pro CD2 disk. I have came across a site saying to change the registry to the c: drive and to just copy the i386 folder from the cd to...
I have built a lot of entry servers with onboard sata raid and yes it is usually horrible. But if you spend the bucks for an addonics or intel raid card, they usually have a nice web interface and configuration is pretty smooth. The more higher end new servers have all been of course switched to...
Hey again,
You have to realize too that when you are using you computer for heavy processing power active tasks such as games that the cpu fan speed will eventual start kicking on at higher speeds once the cpu starts getting hot to cool it off.
BTW, I don't think that doing a disk defrag is...
Is there maybe a bios setting that could be possible set that turns the processor fan at full speed at all times? I would check if you haven't already what the fan controller settings are set to.
LOL. Yea I dont use badges on my friends computers either, not even my company badges (especially with the phone number being on the badge). The last thing I need is my friends calling me up saying they got some stupid report to Microsoft error popping up like I programed all of Microsoft's...
Hey again,
If you can sell computers based on the quality and not the price, then you are doing good! Its just hard to sell computers anymore when everyone has a mindset where they can buy a computer for $200 from dell or buy parts on ebay cheaper then I can get them...
Anyways, if you just...
Thanks stduc for the reply,
I brought my computer to work with me so when I get time I will try hooking it to a different monitor first. I don't think it could be the cable because it is a brand new DVI cable which has never been moved but I will check on that as well.
I will update on what I...
Hi Felixc,
I have noticed the same thing. There is very few ata133 drives on the market any more that I have noticed either. My distributors aren't carrying much of them at all.
Don't know exactly why it is like that but my guess is because of the new standard of drives being sata now.
Hey Computerjock33,
I am not quite sure exactly how you are going to get your sata optical drive to work with dos unless someone created a third-party drive (obviously sata was no where around when dos was).
Here is a couple things you can try:
~ Boot off of floppy disks to boot up into...
Hi Johnbullas,
How many computers are you needing badges for? I have been with 2 computer companies that build computers and when ordering badges, there is usually a minimum order fee like $500 for a couple hundred of them or so. When I worked at Ampro, they had there badges made out of metal...
Hey Everyone,
I am having this very strange issue with my custom built pc all of a sudden. The computer when booting up checks out good, everything looks fine, but once the login screen appears, there is something strange taking up about 10% of the right side of the lcd screen. The whole right...
LOL, thanks for your finger cramping time. I guess I am a little tired this morning. Didn't think through everything.
Thanks a ton for the help.
PS: Any RAID controller recommendations. Most important thing we are looking for is a more detailed raid configuration utility, and performance of...
Hi again computerME,
I am just wondering why you can't use remote desktop to log into the client pc's remotely and then change the IP addresses. Is there a reason you have to do it by dos command?
