We use CA 12.0 for our backup solution. Recently I have been getting this error on my Exchange backups:
AE9684 - Exchange Server Error. HrESEBackupSetup failed. Mount the databases before backup. Check Backup Agent Activity Log
The databases that are backed up are mounted. When I look at the...
I am having an issue after adding a 3rd DC to our network. The new DC was for one of our sites. I installed windows 2003 standard, ran DCPROMO and made it a GC. I added the site in Sites and Services, linked it to the main site and added a subnet for the site. Everything seemed to work. When I...
Well, I guess I am out of luck then because reinstalling the apps is not an option that is available to me. I have 2 applications running on that sever which use SQL that can not go down.
I have muliple users that need access to particular server. Since remote desktop only allows two concurrent sessions users had to wait for someone to finish. I purchased some Terminal Server Client Licenses and installed them on the Domain Controller. When I try to add the Terminal Server role...
We run arcserve 12.0. Is there a way to run a cancelled data migration job. The migration job was asking for another tape. In trying to erase the label for the second tape I cancelled the job.
Thanks for the info but not sure what you mean. Is there a way of configuring the 2nd job to run right after the 1st job? I have them hours apart because I do not know how long the 1st takes especially on full backups. The times vary.
Hello all. We use Arcserve 12.0. I have two jobs configured that run at different times to two different FSD devices. At one time both jobs used to append to the same tape media for data migration but not anymore. I do not have the Disk to Disk option but before my maitenance expired CA set it...
I just recently upgraded to IE8. I unchecked the option that deletes Browsing History when closing Explorer but it still does not cache my browsing history. It is annoying to constantly type in the URL everytime I open IE for frequently visited sites. Where else can I check?
Sorry I have not replied back but things have been a little hectic lately. Installing Exchange is a lot different than managing Exchange. I am glad to say that my problems have been resolved. My problem was with a few address lists but not the GAL. When I went into the Exchane Advanced tab of...
We recently migrated from an older Server running Exchange 2003 STD to a newer Server running Exchange 2003 ENT on the same Domain. I replicated all the Public and System folders and Rehomed folders as per MS KB822931. I moved all my mailboxes using Exchange Tasks. I Ran EXPA and implemented all...
I recently added a second Exchange Server and started migrating mailboxs so I can eventaually decommission it. It has seen better days. To configue IIS on the new Exchange Server I imported the IIS config from the first Exchange Server. I was told this was not a good way of confiuring IIS...
We have 2 X DCs running 2003 SP2 64bit 2003. Recently I have been logging alot of Kerberos and Netlogon errors on 3 or 4 XP SP2 workstations in our domain. I have tried deleting the computer account from AD and then removing and rejoining to the Domain as well as recreating the user profile on...
I am looking into a DS3200 as Davetoo suggested. Now management is kicking around the idea of virtualizing the environment in preparation for a disaster recovery solution down the road. Which if it is going to happen it won't be anytime soon. Should Exchange be kept separate?
All the traffic from the remote sites come through the main location through VPN tunnels running Ipsec because of web filtering policies, email access, home directories and network shares. We use a Cisco 2801 router for the VPN Tunnels.
We have a remote location that wants to utilize IP phones on their network. Right now they have an 1841 router and a 24 port 2960 switch with about 15 users and a BCM 50 phone system utilizing analog lines. I am trying to figure out what kind of config changes I have to make on my router and...
OK, I hear what you guys are saying loud and clear. Let me go back to the powers that be and break it down to them. Pay once now or twice later. Thanks for all the advice. You saved me a lot of grief.
