I would copy all text to a new file and see if the broken font comes with you. Sometimes there are errors like this when the font in question is in overflow text, a strange character, or the pasteboard. Often, it is in a paragraph/char style.

1. Create a new document
2. In that document, create a process color but give it the same name as the spot color that you want to remove (e.g. "PANTONE 447 U" as capitalization counts)
