    Lookup form value between limits.

So simple. I went off in the wrong direction. My sincere thanks to you, Remou

    Lookup form value between limits.

I have a table of inventoried parts. The parts have different markup percentages based on the cost of the part. In a form to update inventory cost and markup, I am trying to add a control that will display (for user reference) my standard markup percentage based on cost. I have added a table...

    Programs won't close from Processes

GrimR, No, I had not tried that. I ran the regular uninstall procedure from add/remove programs and also tried using Windows Install Cleanup. I just finished reading up on offcln.exe. It may or may not have done the trick, but for me, I'll never know. I'm running AVG free edition now (Norton...

    Programs won't close from Processes

Thank you, both. I went through this issue with tech support (Symantec 'chat session') last night. ...well ...they had no answer. Hello AVG.

    Programs won't close from Processes

After much fiddling in the registry and elsewhere, I stopped "Symantec Event Manager" in services. This cured the problem with both Access and Word. Imagine that... a Symantec product causing unexplainable problems. Any recommendations for headache free anti-virus?

    Programs won't close from Processes

Both WINWORD.EXE and MSACCESS.EXE remain running in Processes after the programs close. Each time they are used, another instance is added in Processes. Here's what I have done/found so far. If I stop the Service for MDM.EXE, I can prevent the problem occuring with Word, but not with MS Access...

Show newly appended records on a form

Sorry. BTW "StockNumber" is both, AutoNumber and the primary key. Dim stLinkCriteria As String stLinkCriteria = "[StockNumber]=" & DMax("[StockNumber]", "Main") DoCmd.SetWarnings False DoCmd.OpenQuery "OrdrUpdtQry" DoCmd.OpenQuery "OrdAddOpts" DoCmd.OpenQuery...

Show newly appended records on a form

Yet another silly question. I have a form with a button that needs to do the following: -run a query appending data to a table (underlying the form) -close the form -re-open the form to show the last entry in the table. Everything works up to re-opening the form. When the form re-opens it...

    Lookup of corresponding file names

I know that this is off topic, and not in keeping with the forum guidelines, but to PHV, you have generously helped me out of several 'binds', of which I have benefited in one form or another. I would be very pleased to have a nice single malt or bottle of 'Chateau something or other' purchased...

    Lookup of corresponding file names

Renamed the Module to 'Fscan1' Also, I'm getting an error on the 'varFileName'. Do I need to substitute something else there?

    Lookup of corresponding file names

I thought that might be the case. With a different name, I get "Compile error. in query expression 'ExistsScan([InvNo])'." Is there anything else that I need to substitute in your expressions? I have substituted the Directory containing the files, the table name containing 'InvNo', and...

    Lookup of corresponding file names

I put the module code (with the correct directory) in a new database module, and named it 'ExistsScan', but I must have misunderstood. When running the SQL, I get "Undefined function 'ExistsScan' in expression. Sorry, for the elementary mistake. Reg

    Lookup of corresponding file names

I have a database of sales records. I keep invoice numbers in a table and scanned images of hand written invoices as .pdf files in a directory on the hard drive. I would like to list all of my sales and have the list show whether there is an existing .pdf file that corresponds with each...

    Separating values to multiple fields

    OK... This has got to be simple. I have a table laid out as follows. Date G S TN SN GN 4/1/03 4.33 48 1 1 H 4/1/03 3.28 41 2 1 H 4/1/03 4.4 40 3 1 H 4/1/03 6.25 38 1 2 H 4/1/03...

Action based on a value in an unbound table
