thnx a lot for the help Mr George M (Shadow) All that seems fine ..... but there is a hitch i think in this. in this case the 1st combo box has only 4 items init, but if it has around 30 items, & the 2nd combo box would have atleast 10 items on it depending on the chosen 1st item.... then do i...- neetu

defaultStatus works with IE but not netscape
thnx for the reply Vitus! but then why isint it working fine in netscape....coz i tried to output the result via a input box , instead of using defaultStatus...it works just fine.as ive re-written it below, but i want the time to be displayed in the status bar....How can i get this??? <html>...- neetu

How do you validate dates entered into a form?
i hv submitted something similar to wat ur looking for ...in the 1st half of ur question ! but it is not IE compatible unfortunately .... its being posted under bug in th date vaildation code in IE may be ull find it usefull.in case u dont get it then u could email me.- neetu

how to make a variable global only to a set of asp pages????
session varaibles is fine ...but the value for this WkEnd will remain constant only for maximum 3 asp pages & then it has to be chosen again on another link under the same sight. and i think using session variables will create complication... instead i was thinking if could hv WkEnd as hidden...- neetu
