    (Doesn't matter to Partner if either or both pairs are reversed as long as you do not swap them.) To the contrary, I think you'll find if you reverse the green pair (pins 2 &5 on 6 conductor) the partner phones will not work.

    You may have the green pair reversed. Try flopping it. You will not get dialtone through the partner phone unless you have lights and display.

    I believe to reset PMVS and the PC card mails the code is 9998925327. Which is different from the partner messaging.

    The best solution I've seen is the CT10 made by Plantronics. It is, essentially, a cordless phone that you plug into the AUX port on the bottom of the partner phones. Its small has a belt clip and a headset. And the best part is you don't need a handset lifter. The CT10 will not work on Merlin...
