How do I make a VPN connection from inside the original network? Is this as simple as downloading the connection manager to a machine and trying to connect? Everytime I've tried from the outside I get Error 721.

    VPN on SBS 2003

Hello, I hope someone is able to help! We have just opened a new office and want our 2 PC's there to connect to the server. I've been told that the best way to do this is by VPN. When a user is to logon, I want them to have to still use the CTRL+ALT+DEL method, is that possible? I'm a complete...

Thanks for all of the responses. I think I am going to set a default user profile on the machines so they all use the same look and feel. However, is there a way to set a GPO to install this onto all machines or does this have to be done manually?

Thank you to you both for your replies. I have changed the power supply to 500W now and installed a UPS; on investigation of the old power supply there was a great amount of dust inside and the fans seemed to be clogged. Unfortunately, this server was built in-house by our old IT guy and we are...

Setting up remote access by VPN

Yup, i've tried that and no result. I'm just wondering if it's a port issue? What ports should be open on the firewall? At present i've got it flowing through 1723, is that correct?

I have setup my SBS 2003 server for VPN, created the connection disk and run this on my laptop. I have also changed the profile from User to Mobile User, and altered the necessary settings in the Dial-In section of the User Properties. Yet when I run the Connection Manager it establishes a...

    Setting up remote web access

OK, I'm going to go for the VPN option as this seems the best option to use, would you agree? In order to set this up, once completing all the steps required server-side, do I logon to the laptop itself or as a user onto the laptop that is connected to the server? We are using roaming profiles...
