    Unfortunately, I don't have InDesign 2 to offer a better solution. InDesign CS has a tutorial in the help file on creating an index and table of contents. Have you looked in the help file or user manual for instructions? ~Kim

    Generating index crashes InDesign

    Have you considered looking at Virginia Systems' Sonar Index Pro? It will let you create an index based off of a word list, which can be generated by the plug-in. Maybe it would let you use an external text file? http://www.virginiasystems.com/productsbyapp.html Good luck.
