Hi Geoff, Thanks for the suggestion, but alas it just counts all of the values for Rowfield2. I had tried using the Count property of Visibleitems previously too, this has the same results. Kind regards, Phil.

Hi Remou, I have tried doing this but always get prompted to enter the parameter on opening the form. I am guessing this is becuse I am having to populate the text box via a query which in turn is referencing the main form. Phil.

Hi All, I'm sure someone will know how to do this and make me feel really stupid!! I have an Excel spreadsheet which is to be used as a questionnaire. I hide all toolbars, tabs etc; and turn off alerts. The thing is I don't want to get the save changes message up when the user closes the...

Hi, You're right in thinking that your data could be better organised. But, what you are trying to do is still possible. You need to create a field in your query which uses several nested IIf statements to get the correct data. Below is what you will need to type in the Field box of your...

    Table query from Access beginner

DaMorf, Have you got a date field within the table?? If so, what you are looking for will be the Month function. Create a field within your query such as MonthNum:Month([YourDateField]) and use criteria such as Month(Now) Hope this points you in the right direction. Phil H.
