9.0 will be ok, but 9.1 will have a 512Meg RAM requirement and will impact on controller types able to run it...
MXe, LX(512) will be ok. AX, CX and CXi will require RAM upgrades....

check the properties of the wav file you uploaded. The help files quote 8Khz, 8 bit and mono, they also state a-law or u-law.
I had a problem recently where the file was a-law, i changed to u-law and it sounds perfect now....

from the phone the max is 11 as you have stated and is limited by the format of the ACD realtime stream.
But CIS(6100) your site database will accept 99 (i think) and you could use Client component pack or agent advisor to invoke make busy...

You may have been mis-informed, there is no SIP support in Rel 5. Some of the new IP phones are "dual boot" which allows them to work SIP or MINET(mitel IP) but the 3300 controller itself is not SIP.

I am trying to integrate an application to a MD110 and one of the options is via analogue using inband DTMF.
As i know nothing about MD110's can anyone advise if this is possilble and are there any line card/software requirements?

It really depends on what you want to record, is it caller experience (trunk side recording) or agent/extension experience (extension recording).
If you want extension side recording then you may need to double jumper or if the sets are Digital you require a DLM (Digital line monitor)...
